On May 27, a solar storm forecasted to be “weak” arrived later than expected. I was out just after sunset and the camera was picking up aurora color on the first shot. As it got darker, I could begin to faintly see the aurora bands with my eyes and from that point until Sunday Morning, the northern lights put on a hell of a show over the skies where the Saugeen River meets Lake Huron in Southampton, Ontario. This capture includes the moonset, sunset, a double aurora bow/arc with the infamous Range Lighthouse. Timelapse coming soon.
